Ben Simmons has been on the shelf all season for various seasons, but Saturday he practiced with the Brooklyn Nets and even dunked.
Simmons has yes to play a game for the Nets, but the playoffs are set to kick off for the team Sunday in Boston.
NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski dropped some information that Ben Simmons is pain-free and taking practices against teammates.
ESPN Sources: After running and shooting pain-free for over a week, the Brooklyn Nets’ Ben Simmons is expected to take the next step on the court in the coming week: Beginning to go against teammates on the practice floor.

NBA Insider Nick Friedell got a video of Simmons dunking in practice and the NBA world is set to share their two cents.
Ben Simmons just looked over at me and said — “Make sure you get this. Then dunked — and said “There you go.” pic.twitter.com/Kn8pE7NOlQ

Social media had plenty of opinions on whether or not we would see Simmons play in the NBA this season or if he will even be any good anymore.
I’m not Ben Simmons so I don’t know what Ben Simmons has experienced this year. What I can tell u is that having him on the court, at some point this playoffs, is a major plus. I love watching this guy’s game. 🏀

While there are many armchair observers thinking there’s no chance he suits up, others believe he could be back when the Nets welcome the Celtics in Game 3 at home.
Sources: There’s growing optimism that Ben Simmons could make his Nets and season debut as early as Game 3 against Boston, at Barclays Center next Saturday.

Social media definitely has their own “prove-it” to me mind-set out on the whole Ben Simmons fiasco.
As a fan of the game, only time will tell if Simmons is actually able to produce on the court and what kind of impact he will have.
The Nets kick off the playoffs against the Celtics in Boston at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday.
