New School Emerging As The Favorite In Arch Manning Sweepstakes

It feel like we have new reports tying schools to coveted 2023 QB recruit Arch Manning every week. But at the end of the day, he’s probably going to be choosing one of the blue bloods.

This week, it appears as though people are convinced that the latest Manning QB is going to end up playing for Nick Saban at Alabama.

Manning spent the past few weekend at Tuscaloosa, Georgia, and Texas. And apparently, he left feeling like Bama was the most clear fit.

For now, it looks like Arch Manning isn’t going to rush any decision on his college future.

When speaking recently, Arch’s high school coach, Nelson Stewart, said that NIL won’t be playing a factor in the college decision.

“I really believe this, but Arch is truly just wanting to find the best fit for him,” Stewart said to The Athletic. “He is a meat and potatoes kind of kid. He drives a pickup truck to work. He wears a hat. He likes to throw balls after school. While he’s a deep kid, it’s all about fit and finding the best place for him to go on every level. He wants to be a student. He’s very social. He’s popular and has many friends he’s had since he was pre-K at Newman.

“He’s not caught up with what other people seem to be. We don’t discuss things like NIL or conferences or uniforms teams wear. He’s all about the school, forming relationships with every single coach on these staffs. He wants to get along in the locker room. When he goes to these schools, he’s going as a recruit. There’s no red carpet.”

While the speculation around Arch Manning is only going to continue to grow, it appears he’s just trying to finish out his high school career strong, for now.

But when push comes to shove, it’s entirely possible that he ends up competing for championships with Saban at Alabama.
