Donovan Mitchell Responds To LeBron James’ Apparent Dig At The Utah Jazz

Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz turned heads all throughout the first half of the NBA season. The surprising Jazz are currently 27-9, and in first place in the Western Conference. With that being said, not everyone is wholly impressed with the team.

LeBron James appeared to shade the Jazz during the All-Star Game selection show.

“There’s no slander to the Utah Jazz,” James said on Thursday night. “You guys have to understand, just like in video games growing up we never played with Utah. Even as great as Karl Malone and John Stockton was we would never pick those guys in video games.”

While LeBron’s comment didn’t really seem all that bad, Donovan Mitchell took offense to it nonetheless.

“I don’t want to be rude but I really don’t care…” Mitchell said. “People have been talking s*** about me for a while… we’re not doing this to seek the approval of him.”

Donovan Mitchell ended up getting drafted by Kevin Durant for the All-Star game on Sunday Night. We’ll see if Mitchell can show the world he belongs in the conversation as one of the best players in the world.
