She’s Real And She’s Spectacular: Manti Te’o Got Married To A Real Woman

Manti Te’o got married over the weekend and it looks like she is a real person. Te’o and personal trainer, Jovi Nicole, were married in a small ceremony on the beach. It looks like they had a bigger ceremony planned but decided to cut down on the size due to the Covid pandemic.

If you recall, Manti Te’o was involved in one of the first big catfishing stories from 2009 -2012, back when he was a player at Notre Dame. Te’o “met” a woman online and never met her in person, she then allegedly died from a car accident the same day his grandmother died. A couple years later, someone messaged Te’o that it was all a hoax and every outlet on the planet reported the embarrassing incident.

After being catfished, Te’o has been the butt of jokes for years. I can’t even imagine having to deal with the embarrassment still 10 years later…and probably for the rest of his life. Nobody thinks about his football career when you mention his name, they think of him being catfished. Each time he meets someone, that is the first thing they think of…that Manti Te’o fell in love with a fake person online and went on ESPN talking about his imaginary girlfriend that he had never even met. I hope he’s found happiness and it lasts forever because the divorce settlement with a real person will be a lot more than if it was with an imaginary person.
