Postseason Phenom Randy Arozarena Allegedly Assaulted Father of his Daughter’s Mother

Tampa Bay Rays star Randy Arozarena is currently detained in Mexico following accusations of a domestic incident involving his daughter and her mohter. According to ESPN insider Jeff Passan, Arozarena was trying to take his daughter against her mother’s will, and then things escalated.

“Tampa Bay star Randy Arozarena was detained in Mexico after an incident in which he allegedly tried to take his daughter from her mother and assaulted the woman’s father, sources told ESPN, confirming a Yucatán Ahora report. MLB’s Department of Investigations is looking into it,” Passan said in his tweet.

While details are scant, Passan went on to explain that Arozarena’s incident could lead to a massive penalty from MLB, as it would fall under the league and MLBPA’s joint domestic violence policy.
