Patrick Mahomes’ Mother Randi Called Out Louis Riddick During MNF

When you’re watching a live sporting event,  and you have a complaint or a problem with an announcer, the best way to get it out there is to go straight to Twitter. This is what Patrick Mahomes’ mother Randi did while watching Monday Night Football.

Randi’s son Patrick and his Chiefs were playing the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.  It was a much-hyped game that ended up being a little bit one sided. The highlight of the night was clearly Randi calling out ESPN announcer Louis Riddick.

Apparently, Louis kept referring to Mahomes as Pat:

Riddick addressed the gaffe via ESPN:

“On Monday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mom was defending the name she gave him and making it clear that she wasn’t happy with the announcers in the Monday Night Football booth.

Randi Mahomes tweeted: “If this announcer doesn’t stop calling my son Pat.. ugh i may scream… lol #help.”

ESPN analyst Louis Riddick took the blame in the fourth quarter after word of Randi Mahomes’ tweet made it to the booth.

“Guilty, guilty, guilty,” Riddick said while laughing. “I apologize, Patrick.””

The man now forever known as “Pat”  made his mom proud with 385 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.
