After spending the past two season with intense COVID protocols and rules for unvaccinated, the NFL basically decided this week they’re done with all of it.
On Thursday, the league announced that they were suspending all COVID-19 protocols, citing a decrease in cases all over the country.
Effective immediately, the NFL and NFLPA have suspended all COVID-19 protocols.

“Should there be a reason to reimpose aspects of the protocols or to take other measures,” the memo notes, “we will work closely with clubs, the NFLPA and our respective experts, and local, state and federal public health officials to continue to safeguard the health of the NFL community.”
Last season, the NFL increasingly relaxed their COVID protocols as the year went on. But unvaccinated players such as Cole Beasley and Aaron Rodgers took major issue with how they were treated — specifically the daily testing and mask protocols.
This year, the league has opted to take on a completely different tone altogether. And I’d imagine most players are going to be happy not to deal with all the COVID protocols anymore.
