Matt Ryan Caught on Mic Telling Todd Gurley “Don’t Score” Before Crucial Mistake

The Todd Gurley boneheaded touchdown run gets more stupid by the day. All Gurley had to do was go down after picking up the first down for the Falcons, and the Lions would not have gotten the ball back. Matt Ryan tried telling Gurley not to score before the play.

I complain a lot as a Chicago Bears fan, but I can’t even imagine what Atlanta fans have gone through. Ever since they blew a 28-3 against the Patriots in the Super Bowl, choking has been a part of their DNA. It seems like they have another blown lead every week.

At one point it looked like Atlanta would have one of the best offenses in the NFL for many years to come. Now, a rebuild might be in the team’s future. In the NFL, you have to take advantage of your competitive window, because it could be gone in the blink of an eye. The Atlanta Falcons are finding that out the hard way.

Luckily for Gurley, the Falcons were never going to contend this year anyways.
