NBA Fans Are Up In Arms That People Are Calling LaMelo Ball ‘Melo’

LaMelo Ball is off to a fast start in his NBA career. The rookie point guard is showing his critics that he was closer to being ready for NBA play than they thought after all. As the hype around Ball continues to grow, fans have started calling him ‘Melo’. This has not sit very well with Carmelo Anthony fans.

The “there’s only one Melo” crowd is out in full force on social media.

So, there you have it. I guess there can only be one ‘Melo’. Unfortunately for the Carmelo Anthony stans, I don’t think people will stop referring to LaMelo Ball as Melo anytime soon.

The 19-year-old LaMelo Ball has 14.6 PPG to go along with 6.1 assists and 6.2 rebounds during the early going of his season. So far, he’s probably the front-runner to win the Rookie Of The Year award.

Who knows, maybe LaMelo Ball will overtake Carmelo Anthony as the better “Melo” before it’s all said and done. He has a long way to go, though.
