Mitchell Trubisky Shares The Advice He Gave Bears Quarterback Justin Fields

Mitchell Trubisky had his return to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears this past weekend after his tenure with the team was wholly unsuccessful. Bears fans are now fully on to the Justin Fields hype.

And on Saturday, Trubisky and Fields shared a moment on the field prior to the preseason game between the Bills and Bears.

After Mitchell Trubisky and the Bills dominated the Bears in the preseason game, Mitch opened up about the advice he gave Justin Fields.

“It was good,” Trubisky said, when asked about his meeting with Fields, via Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times. “We actually met when he was coming out of high school and he visited North Carolina, so we just caught up on the field. Just my advice to him — and really to anybody — is to work hard and treat people right and good things will happen. He’s a talented kid. He’s gonna do well.”

Mitchell Trubisky would also take the high road when speaking on his big performance at Soldier Field.

“I just wanted to play well,” Trubisky added. “I knew people would be talking about it and hyping it up, but it was just important for me to come out here and do my job and show my teammates that I could play ball.”

Mitchell Trubisky and Justin Fields will both be backups for their respective teams when Week One rolls around, but their situations are now beyond different.

Fields is pegged as the quarterback who’s going to finally end Chicago’s drought at the position, and prove to be the franchise guy they’ve been looking over 50 years for.

On the other hand, Mitchell Trubisky will just hope he can take as much as he can away from Josh Allen and the Bills before he’ll look to get a chance as a starter somewhere else in the league.
