Michael Jordan, LeBron James Donate $27 Million in Fines to Allow Felons to Vote

Talk about a powerful 1-2 punch. LeBron James and Michael Jordan joined a group of celebrities to shoulder around $27 million in fines and fees to allow felons in Florida to vote.

According to Tampa Bay Times:

Nearly 13,000 felons could now be eligible to vote due to the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition supported by LeBron and businessman Michael Bloomberg. Other high-profile personalities who gave hefty donations include Michael Jordan and Ariana Grande.

This includes felons in four of Florida’s largest counties, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Palm Beach, and Polk.

James’ voting rights group, More Than A Vote, announced in July that it planned to donate $100,000 to the coalition. NBA legend Michael Jordan was also among those who made a large donation to the effort proving there’s room for two GOATs.
