Is Jimmy Garoppolo going to stay in San Francisco?

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is still reportedly on his way out after a disappointing finish to the 2021 season.

Jimmy G has been linked to several teams since the season ended. Now we have one surprising team that may interested in Jimmy G’s services.

The Saints are rumored to re-sign Jameis Winston as their QB1. Jameis played in seven games with the Saints last year and went 5-2 before going down with an injury.

According to reports, if Jameis doesn’t work out, Jimmy G might just be their Plan B.

“The wildest rumor I heard this week? Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo potentially pairing with New Orleans. This would be a surprise since many around the league expect Jameis Winston to return to the Saints. But if Rodgers and Wilson aren’t moved, Garoppolo becomes one of the top options available. Maybe New Orleans at least kicks this idea around.”

The NFL is a year round rumor machine. It’s been suggested that nothing will happen until the Aaron Rodgers domino falls.
