Jack Nicklaus Confident Tiger Woods Will Golf Again

PGA legend Tiger Woods remains in rehab after his scary single-car crash from earlier in the year left him hospitalized, and in need of surgery.

We’ve seen glimpses of Tiger here or there, but nothing much since the crash. But as he’s been rehabbing, it has been reported that he has still been unable to hit the golf course.

No matter how long it takes, another golf legend is confident Tiger Woods will be back.

Jack Nicklaus Weighs In On Tiger Woods

When asked about Tiger Woods and his recovery during a recent interview, Jack Nicklaus exerted optimism that Tiger would be back to the PGA.

“I know Tiger,” Nicklaus told The Washington Post. “What he did at Torrey Pines [winning the 2008 U.S. Open] on a broken leg, what does that tell you? He’ll still be able to slap it around, and if he can putt, he’ll be all right. I don’t know if he can reach his old level, but I do expect him to play again.”

Jack Nicklaus still has a comfortable lead over Tiger Woods in the all-time Major Championships race with 18 wins to Tiger’s 15.

At one point, it looked like a foregone conclusion that Tiger would soar past Nicklaus’ Majors record. But after injuries, scandals, and accidents have derailed his career, we’re now just left hoping to see if Tiger can make it back to the sport he once dominated.

If Jack Nicklaus knows anything about Tiger Woods, we’ll see him back on the PGA Tour at some point down the road. And who knows, maybe he’ll even have some more competitive Sunday rounds in him.
