Lord Stanley is probably rolling in his grave. In case you haven’t heard by now, Lord Stanley’s Cup was banged up pretty badly during the Lightning’s boat parade, with the top getting very dented in what was apparently a complete accident. According to Lightning GM Julien BriseBois, the Stanley Cup suffered an ‘upper-body injury’

During the celebration, one of the players dropped the Cup. It sustained damages but will be getting repaired.

At least no one was throwing the thing around like Tom Brady was at Tampa’s last boat parade, but seriously there’s one rule, don’t drop the cup.
Luckily the Cup can be fixed.
