Deshaun Watson Doesn’t Want To See Houston Fans March On His Behalf

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has reportedly had enough of his organization. Apparently, the relationship between Watson and Houston owner Cal McNair is so broken that it cannot be mended.

Obviously, Houston fans are enraged, and would like to do whatever it takes to keep their star quarterback around for a long time. The Houston fans went through such lengths to keep Watson that they planned a march in his honor today.

Deshaun Watson has politely asked those fans to cancel the march.

“I’m hearing there is a march planned on my behalf in Houston today. Although I am humbled I ask that whoever is organizing the march cancel for the sake of public safety. Covid is spreading at a high rate & I don’t want any fans to unnecessarily expose themselves to infection,” Watson wrote on his Twitter.

Some fans reacted to Deshaun Watson’s plea for fans to stay home instead of flooding the streets of Houston.

I think it’s safe to say that many fan bases would love to see Deshaun Watson with their team next season. If I’m Houston, I’m not giving up, and I’m doing anything I can to keep Watson around. Let him pick your next head coach if that’s what it takes.

Deshaun Watson IS the future for the Houston Texans, and they might not recover for a long time if they can’t repair the relationship with their quarterback.
