Damian Lillard Reportedly Wants Blazers to Trade for Draymond Green

Draymond Green hasn’t been quite the same player for the Warriors since their dynasty fell apart.  He’s still a very useful player, but clearly he can’t carry a team.  He’s more of a role player,  but one of the best role players in the league.

Might it be time for a change of scenery for Draymond?

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard want Draymond on the Trailblazers, and has privately asked the organization to make a trade for Green.

“If we were handicapping Draymond trade destinations if the Warriors decided to blow it up…that’s the one,” Amick said on “The Athletic NBA Show,” via Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Bay Area. “Damian and his group have for the last couple years been campaigning for that.”

Damian and Green are boys,  that much is clear. Damian could use an enforcer to protect him during the season.

Probably won’t happen, but it all depends on how the Warriors are doing prior to the trade deadline.
