Damian Lillard has maintained that he’s not currently asking to be traded from the Portland Trail Blazers.

But he also knows that his team isn’t good enough to compete right now, and he’s starting to put the pressure on his front office to build a championship-caliber team around him.

On Wednesday, Damian Lillard took to social media to share a mindf-k of a message that has left many fans wondering what exactly his end game is here.

“Sometimes, you just have to play the role of a fool to fool the fool who thinks they are fooling you,” Lillard posted to his Instagram.

I’m not even going to dive in to what Damian Lillard is trying to say here. But regardless, the Trail Blazers are in a tough spot with their long time superstar.

So far, they haven’t added any significant pieces to their team during free agency, and all signs point to 2021-22 being a rebuilding season for them under first-year head coach Chauncey Billups.

That won’t make Damian Lillard too happy.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Portland start to look for potential suitors for Dame before too long, and contenders will surely be lining up to make a run for his services.
