Colin Cowherd Is Convinced One NFL Coach Can Catch Bill Belichick As The GOAT

Is Andy Reid coming for Bill Belichick’s GOAT title?

According to FS1 host Colin Cowherd, perhaps. As the Chiefs are set to try to win their second Super Bowl in three seasons, Cowherd revealed during his show on Wednesday that when it’s all said and done – Reid might have an argument for greatest of all-time.

“Don’t be surprised if you look at Andy’s last 10 years and Belichick’s and there aren’t arguments to be made on who we’re calling the greatest coach of all time.”

Colin Cowherd used Andy Reid’s overall record to prove his point. But we all know, at the end of the day, it’s Super Bowl Championships that push a coach over the edge when we discuss the GOAT debate.

Right now, Andy Reid still has just one Super Bowl ring compared to Bill Belichick’s six. And while you’d imagine the Chiefs will remain contenders during Patrick Mahomes’ prime, we may be underestimating just how hard it is to win a championship. To even be mentioned in the same breath as Belichick, Reid will likely have to win the whole thing at least two more times.

And that’s not even mentioning the fact that Reid isn’t getting any younger. He’s currently 63 years old, and in pretty poor physical shape. To Think that Reid has 10 more years on the sidelines left in him may be pushing it.

I think it’s a pretty safe bet that Andy Reid won’t have too much of a GOAT argument over Bill Belichick when they’re yucking it up in Canton someday.
