Antonio Brown Could Be Disciplined By NFL Again

Beleaguered Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown may be in trouble with the NFL yet again. This time, Brown faces a potential suspension for failing to report an incident that reportedly took place on October 15th to the league. During this incident, AB reportedly destroyed a security camera, and threw a bike at a security guard.

The Buccaneers claimed to have known about this incident prior to signing him. However, the league office did not. This could be a problem for Antonio Brown.

According to Pro Football Talk, NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy contains an obligation for any player that does something that could be a violation of the policy.

“Failure to report an incident will be grounds for disciplinary action,” the league’s Personal Conduct Policy says. “This obligation to report is broader than simply reporting an arrest; it requires reporting to the league any incident that comes to the club’s or player’s attention which, if the allegations were true, would constitute a violation of the Policy.”

This means that even though Antonio Brown wasn’t arrested or charged during this incident, the mere fact that he could have been was enough for the NFL league office to be notified.

Sure, it doesn’t seem like much. Especially considering that AB is in no legal trouble. But this guy has had such a murky history with the law, and with the NFL, that he is on thin ice. You would think that someone told him or a representative that any time he gets in a hint of trouble, the league office has to be notified. They were not, and Antonio Brown could face a penalty for it.

We’ll see what this leads to, if anything. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might need to prepare for life without Brown, which shouldn’t be difficult given his short time with the team. It appears that Antonio Brown still cannot stay out of trouble. This guy is a cancer.
