An Aaron Rodgers bombshell was dropped on NFL Draft day. Adam Schefter was the man behind the breaking news, and it pretty much spelled the end for Rodgers and the Pack. Schefter’s little bomb dominated the news, and pretty much took over the NFL Draft.
See below:
Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday.

Now it appears Schefter decided to drop that news after an accumulation of events, nothing was imminent, and there was really no specific news that lead to him putting out on draft day. Schefter went on the Dan Patrick Show to try and explain what lead to the news dropping on Draft day.
We have Adam on now. He said this was not a breaking report, but an "accumulation of information".
He added Aaron Rodgers/Rodgers' camp was NOT the source of this story.
He told us he chose to post this on draft day, but it's based on info since the season ended to draft day. https://t.co/urKJpWtrEN— Paul Pabst (@PaulPabst) May 6, 2021

So Aaron wasn’t behind this, nor the Packers. What it sounds like is Schefter wanted to make a splash on Draft day.
And boy did he ever. Rodgers still hasn’t commented on any of the reports.
These NFL reporters love to make it all about them. Nice work Schefty!
