Tom Brady Finally Makes An Admission About The “Tuck Rule” Game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has now cemented his legacy as the GOAT. But one play during his first season could’ve changed the course of all of that.

In the Patriots’ first playoff run with Brady at the helm, they defeated the Raiders in the Divisional Round after Oakland had thought they had the game locked away.

When a late fumble was reviewed, it was determined that Tom Brady’s hand was moving forward before he tucked the ball away — making it an incomplete pass.

The game has since been deemed the “Tuck Rule” game.

Now, Tom Brady is ready to make an admission.

On his Twitter page, Brady responded to a recent TikTok question by admitting that the Tuck Rule play, “may have been a fumble.”

Last year, Tom Brady joined Charles Woodson to break down the whole Tuck Rule controversy in a “30 for 30”.

During the joint interview, Woodson was adamant that the play was called wrong on the field, while Brady indicated that the rule book was in his favor — fair or not.

Obviously, Tom Brady would end up driving down the field for a game-tying drive before getting the win in OT. He would go on to win his first Super Bowl ring later that season.

If the Patriots’ season ends with Brady fumbling that game away in 2002, perhaps Bill Belichick goes back to Drew Bledsoe as his quarterback for next season, and the entire trajectory of TB12’s career is drastically altered.

We’ll never know.
