Philadelphia Eagles Getting Hammered to Finish with the NFL’s Overall Best Record

Fly Eagles Fly.

There are plenty of frontrunners in the NFL betting game, but as of late no single team is receiving more action than the Philadelphia Eagles. Out of all the money pouring in on NFL Team futures, there’s one surprising trend taking place on the team to finish with the NFL’s best overall record. According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Philadelphia Eagles have received the most money on them to finish at the very top of the NFL standings.

As a result of the heavy Eagles action, the Eagles started out at 40/1 odds to win the Super Bowl, and now they are sitting at 25/1. Not only that, but they’ve also received the second most money on them to make the Playoffs.

Via Caesars:

“Philadelphia has also gotten the second-most money to make the playoffs, only trailing the Saints. After ‘NO’ for making the playoffs was originally favored at -130, ‘YES’ is now sizable chalk at -160 compared to ‘NO’ price now at +140. ‘YES’ has drawn 88.1% of the tickets and 98.9% of the handle among all bets regarding whether the Eagles will make the playoffs. Taking it one step further, Philadelphia (25/1) has racked up the most money and fourth-most tickets to finish with the NFL’s best record this campaign.”

Jalen Hurts is also getting some serious love, and we know if the Eagles are going to finish with the NFL’s best record, it’s going to take a Herculean performance from the Eagles QB.

“The dual-threat quarterback has seen his MVP odds swing from 40/1 to 30/1. He’s ninth for both tickets (3.5%) and handle (3.4%), including one Indiana bettor putting down $1,000 on Hurts to win MVP at 40/1 for a potential win of $40,000.

Strangely enough, people are pretty down on the Eagles run game, specifically Miles Sanders production this season, he’s getting hit hard on his over/under on Touchdowns which currently sits at 5.5 TDs.

“Bettors are more bearish on Hurts’ backfield mate, tailback Miles Sanders. After he failed to reach paydirt last season, there has been plenty of action on his touchdown prop this time around as well. Under 5.5 rushing touchdowns for Sanders has gotten the second-most tickets (behind Treylon Burks under receiving yards) and the second-most handle (behind Trey Lance over rushing yards) among all season-long offensive player props at Caesars Sportsbook.”

Jalen Hurts had a very solid 2021 performance. He completed 61.3 percent of his passes, had 16 TD throws to nine picks and ran for 10 touchdowns.

The Eagles made a strong move to support Hurts by trading with Tennessee for wideout A.J. Brown, who has racked up 2,995 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in three seasons. He will team with last year’s first-round choice, DeVonta Smith, who is coming off a monster rookie season.

Clearly there’s a lot to be excited about in Philly, and the bets flying in are more signs pointing to a solid campaign for the Eagles.
