NFL Insider Names Three Potential Trade Scenarios For Kyler Murray Following Thursday’s News

Is Kyler Murray working his way out of Arizona?

All offseason, the star QB has shown his animosity with his organization. Specifically, Murray is irked that he hasn’t received a massive contract extension yet.

On Thursday, it was reported that Kyler Murray is preparing to hold out from the Cardinals is a deal isn’t reached prior to Training Camp. The worst part? Arizona hasn’t even extended an offer to the budding superstar yet.

Even though its said that the Cardinals have no intention of trading Kyler Murray, perhaps the young star could be had at the right price.

According to Mike Florio of PFT there are three teams who would make the most sense for Murray: the panthers, Falcons, and Saints.

Per Pro Football Talk:

“The most obvious candidates would be the three finalists for Deshaun Watson who didn’t get the new Browns quarterback: Panthers, Falcons, and Saints. This assumes that each of those teams would be OK with a quarterback who is on the very short side, by NFL starting quarterback standards.”

The Falcons, Panthers and Saints were all trying to upgrade at the quarterback position this offseason, but weren’t able to land any of the prized options. Obviously Kyler Murray would fit that billing.

However, I’d expect the Kyler situation to drag out a bit.

Even if the Cardinals hold firm on their price tag for Kyler Murray, they likely won’t trade their young quarterback unless it’s the last resort. On the flip side, they could just wind up breaking the bank to keep him present and happy in Zona for the foreseeable future.

Time will tell.
