A.J. Brown Throws Serious Shade At Titans Following Deebo Samuel’s Contract Extension

A.J.  Brown is not a happy camper.

Niners superstar receiver Deebo Samuel received a three-year, $71.6 million contract extension over the weekend. The Philadelphia Eagles wideout was pretty irritated over the news, and  took a shot at his former employers, the  Titans.  Brown, who received a four-year, $100 million extension when he was traded from the Tennessee Titans to Philadelphia, dismissed the notion that he was the problem in Tennessee.

“Basically all 4 of us got the same contract and I’m the only one got traded,” Brown wrote. “Yeah keep believing it was me. Anywho Go Birds.”

Brown is referencing Deebo Samuel, DK Metcalf and Terry McLaurin, all of whom were drafted in 2019 and received extensions this offseason.

Brown was the only one who was shipped out of town.

The former Titans receiver was looking for more than $25 million per year and $80 million guaranteed in a new deal. He also reportedly stopped all communications with the Titans before being traded.

Brown played in 13 games in 2021.

He finished with 63 catches for 869 yards and five touchdowns.
