Even though the star forward has never publicly said anything, one would think Monday’s news about Kyrie Irving opting in to his contract would be good news to him.

Still, two teams remain frontrunners if the Nets were to trade Kevin Durant: the Heat and Clippers.

Per Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson:

Like I said before, Kevin Durant has been eerily quiet about what he wants his future in the NBA to look like. But the Nets would have to certainly hope he’ll remain around if Kyrie Irving stays as point guard.

Last Summer, KD signed a four year extension with the Nets, so he’d likely not have too much leverage if there were to be a trade request in the future.

We’ll see if something drastic happens in the coming days and weeks. But for now, it looks like both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will be in Brooklyn next season.
