Dave Roberts Heavily Ridiculed For Pulling Clayton Kershaw During Perfect Game

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts isn’t a very popular guy after what he did to ace Clayton Kershaw on Wednesday.

After Kershaw worked seven perfect innings against the Twins, Roberts made the decision to take the future Hall of Famer out of the game. He had just 80 pitches at the time.

After pulling Kershaw, fans took to social media to lash out against Dave Roberts.

Sure, due to the MLB lockout pitchers around the league are working under lesser pitch counts. But this isn’t just a no hitter we’re talking about. This is a perfect game, and a chance for Clayton Kershaw to add another elite achievement to his illustrious career.

Dave Roberts has a history of taking his pitchers out while they have a no-hitter going. But this has to be the worst instance yet.

After making the change, the Dodgers allowed a single to Twins catcher Gary Sanchez shortly thereafter. It’s safe to say that fans won’t be forgiving Dave Roberts in the near future.
