We’ve seen plenty of amazing dad catches at baseball games over the year, but this one during the Mets game tonight might just take the cake.
During the Mets-Nations game on Tuesday night, a dad standing directly next the the wall separating fans from the iconic Citi Field apple in center field made a snag while carrying his small child in the other hand.

Sure, if you really want to break down the catch a little further, you’d recognize that the ball bounced before the dad makes the snag, but thats getting a little nit-picky on a great viral moment.
After the Staling Marte homer, the Mets got off to a strong 2-0 start in the game against the division rival Nats.
For now, the Mets are making people in Queens real excited about their ball club, getting out to 9.5 game lead in the NL East before the month of June has even begun.
It’s a party out there at Citi Field right now…especially for that dad tonight.
