Report Sheds Light On How Tiger Woods Looked During Practice Round At Augusta National

Could Tiger Woods really make his return to competitive golf at The Masters Tournament next week?

After some rumblings about Woods not being mentioned on the list of previous winners set to miss the event this year, it was reported on Monday that Tiger was trying to but his surgically-repaired leg through tests to see if he could give it a go.

And then, the ultimately bomb dropped this morning when it was revealed that Tiger Woods was actually taking his private jet to Augusta National to see if he could withstand the hilly course for the four day tournament.

Tonight, everyone wants to know “how’d the practice round go?”

According to an ESPN source, Tiger Woods played all 18 hols today and “looked good”.

ESPN:

“He played every one of them,” a source told ESPN. “He looked good to me.”

Woods and his team arrived Tuesday morning at Augusta Regional Airport on his Gulfstream private jet, stirring anticipation on social media that he was preparing to play in the Masters. Augusta National, because of its many hills and length, is considered one of the most difficult walks in competitive golf.”

A few months ago, Tiger Woods played in the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. But when pressed about his return, the longtime king of the sport maintained that his body was still a long way from competing regularly.

“I have a long way in the rehab process of this leg, and it’s not the fun stuff of the rehab,” Woods said at the time. “It’s just reps and breaking up scar tissue and things that really hurt. So that part of it’s not going to be fun, but the challenge of it is. I enjoy the challenge of getting in there and trying to push it to the next level; sometimes it’s two steps forward, one step back, but you’ve got to go through it. I enjoy that part of it, and maybe one day it will be good enough where I can get out here and I can compete against these best players in the world again.”

Now, Tiger Woods can set the sports world on fire if he were to announce that he’s giving it a go for The Masters. We all hope to see him walking the fairways at Augusta National next week.
