Jack Nicklaus Shares Message Welcoming Tiger Woods Back To The Masters

Tiger Woods appears to be coming back to competitive golf for The Masters this weekend, and no ones happier than the guy who currently holds the record for most wins at Augusta National, Jack Nicklaus.

Ahead of the champions dinner on Tuesday night, Nicklaus sent out a statement welcoming back Tiger.

“Delighted to hear Tiger is going to give it a go at the Masters. Considering where life was 17 months ago, this [is] an incredible feat,” Nicklaus tweeted. “Only reinforces the drive, passion and work ethic Tiger has always possessed. … Tiger wouldn’t tee it up if he didn’t think he could compete and win. Tiger knows this golf course like the back of his hand and, one in position, he remembered how to win. … Could he do it again?”

Tiger Woods has been sidelined from competitive golf and pretty much out of the public eye since his car crash from 15 months ago.

Since, he’s made few appearances here and there (including playing a tournament with his son, Charlie).

However, no one expected a Tiger Woods appearance at the Masters this week, but his presence will serve as a gift to the entire golf world.

Who knows, maybe Tiger still makes a run at Jack Nicklaus’ 18 major wins. He’s currently stuck at 15 over the course of his career.
