Joe Burrow is Popular Betting Option to Lead NFL in a Couple of Passing Categories

Joey B is receiving plenty of action.

The third-year quarterback enters this NFL season with plenty of expectations, especially after he lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl in only his second season under center for the Bengals. With Burrow’s combination of touch, vision, and will to win, he’s heading into this season feeling pretty good about his chances. Bettors are also backing the Bengals savior. According to Caesars, Burrow is getting plenty of action to lead the NFL in a couple of categories.

Via Caesars Sportsbook:

The former No. 1 overall pick has the fifth-lowest odds to be the NFL’s passing yardage leader at +950, and he’s fifth in both tickets (8.3%) and handle (7.9%). He also has the seventh-lowest odds to finish with the most passing touchdowns at 11/1, and is third in tickets (8.0%) and fourth in handle (10.4%) there.

Burrow’s receivers are also getting plenty of action at the books:

The two key recipients of his throws will be star wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Chase has the fourth-lowest odds to lead the NFL in receiving yards at 12/1 after exploding for 1,455 of them in his rookie campaign. Higgins, meanwhile, is much further down at 45/1, the same price as Chris Godwin. Chase has secured 9.4% of tickets (third) and 10.2% of handle (third), with one Nevada bettor plopping $1,000 on Chase 12/1. Higgins is tied for eighth in tickets (3.6%) with Michael Pittman Jr. and is 10th in handle at 2.8%.

This Bengals dynamic duo is the only set of teammates to rank in the top-10 for both tickets and handle for the NFL receiving yardage leader market.

Due to the overwhelming appeal of Joe Burrow and his top flight receivers, running back Joe Mixon isn’t seeing much action at all.

Joe Burrow had appendix surgery back on July 26th  and returned to practice a few weeks ago. Burrow did not play in the preseason, but is on track to start the season on September 11th.
