Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat were so, so close to reaching the NBA Finals to get a crack at the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
After Butler put Miami on his back in order to get the Celtics to Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Conference Finals before falling flat in that game.
To this day, Jimmy Butler hasn’t been able to get over the loss.
“Man, honestly, I’m not ready to talk about basketball yet,” he said. “I’m still in my feelings, so I don’t really get into it. I can’t. You’re opening up a door of emotions. I just want to talk about coffee and ice cream, my brother.”

In the playoffs, Jimmy Butler once again asserted himself as one of the very best players in the entire NBA.
Throughout the series with the Celtics, Butler was clearly the best player on the floor. But with the Heat dealing with a lack of depth and some injuries, Jimmy’s heroics were simply not enough to get the Heat over the hump.
Still, Jimmy Butler and the Heat appear to be a top contender in the East next season. But it seems like even president Pat Riley knows they’re going to need to add another star to compliment Butler.
