Former Bengals Quarterback Carson Palmer Under Fire For His Comments Abut Joe Burrow

Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer had a tumultuous and abrupt end to his tenure with the team back in the day, and now he’s predicting a similar outcome for Joe Burrow.

Despite the fact that Burrow and the Bengals have an opportunity to take him the Super Bowl Trophy this weekend, Palmer thinks it’s possible that the young QB won’t want to stick around with the organization for the long haul.

Here’s what Carson Palmer had to say about Joe Burrow’s future in Cincy during a recent appearance onNBC’s “Brother From Another” show:

“I think Joe’s gonna sit back after this game, win or lose and be like ‘man, am I gonna re-sign with this team? Are they willing to do what it takes to continuously build to get back to the next Super Bowl? Next year and the year after that and the year after that? How are they willing to structure salary cap wise to be able to afford me, but to also be able to afford Ja’Marr Chase when he comes up or Tee Higgins or maybe even re-do this offensive line?’”

Immediately, fans swarmed social media to trash Carson Palmer over his comments about Joe Burrow.

Carson Palmer has clearly lost any fans he had left in Cincinnati with his crazy Joe Burrow take.

But that’s not to say there isn’t some merit to his comments. Burrow has overcome a below-average offensive line, limited weapons, mediocre defense, etc. in order to reach the Super Bowl this weekend.

But even with all that being the case, Joe Burrow has proven that he’s the best thing to come to the Bengals franchise in a long, long time. And you would think the organization will do whatever it takes to continue to build around his talents for the future.

Carson Palmer sounds a little salty that he didn’t have the same imprint on the Bengals organization…
