Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer Is Not Impressed After His Team Was Down To Just 1 QB At Practice

Minnesota Vikins coach Mike Zimmer was not happy with players who weren’t vaccinated as an outbreak at camp left the team with just one QB for practice.

Zimmer and the Vikings were left with just one QB, Jake Browning, during their practices this weekend. Kellen Mond tested positive for COVID which in turn sidelined starter Kirk Cousins and backup Nate Stanley because of high-risk close contacts.

Zimmer stated to the Star Tribune that, “Quite honestly, after everything we went through last year, I’m not surprised one bit.” He added that, “I am frustrated, not just with my football players who didn’t get vaccinated, but I’m just frustrated with everybody [who didn’t].”

The NFL may have massive rosters, especially this early in camp, but if this were a Saturday before a game, this could be a major disaster for any team. Players continue to voice their concern about the vaccine, such as Cole Beasley, who has essentially become the poster boy for unvaccinated players, while many coaches are trying to push players and teams to increase their vaccination rates.

The NFL, along with all sports continue to see outbreaks within teams which can be detrimental to a team’s success.
