Patrick Kane Hilariously (Or Creepily) Counts To 1,000 To Help Fans Sleep Prior To His 1,000th Game On Tuesday

Chicago Blackhawks star winger Patrick Kane has little to no presence on social media. But he couldn’t help but to have some fun on Twitter prior to his 1,000th NHL game on Tuesday night.

At first, Kane tweeted out that he was having trouble sleeping on the night before his milestone game.

“Hey, #HockeyTwitter… anybody else having a little trouble falling asleep before tomorrow’s #Blackhawks game?” Kane asked.

Patrick Kane didn’t stop there. He followed up his initial Tweet with an hour long video of himself counting to 1,000.

Little bit of a psychopathic move by Kaner here, but we’ll let him have it. Who are we to tell him how to go about his 1,000th game in the league?

What a run it has been for Patrick Kane with the Blackhawks up to this point, too. The flashy kid from Buffalo has fully grown up during his time as a Chicago Blackhawk. He has three Stanley Cups, an MVP, and a Conn Smythe Trophy to his name already, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Kane is right in the thick of the MVP race this season, as he is currently second to Connor McDavid in points. He has also taken over as the Blackhawks de-facto leader after Jonathan Toews announced that he was unable to join the team due an illness this season.

Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks have turned some heads so far in 2021. While many thought this would be a rebuilding year, the Hawks currently sit at 13-8-5, and would be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs if the season ended today.

Congrats to Patrick Kane on 1,000 games, it’s too bad fans can’t be present to celebrate the milestone. Something tells me Kane will have plenty more to celebrate before it’s all said and done, though.
