Scottie Pippen Has One Reason Why He Never Won Defensive Player of the Year

Scottie Pippen is back doing what he does best as of late, he’s complaining about Michael Jordan

Pip recently complained he never won Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) because of all the media attention his Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan received.

Pippen, known for his phenomenal defensive skills, reflected in an interview this week that “[the media] were too busy watching Michael.”

Pippen played 17 seasons in the NBA, winning six championships with the Bulls. He was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team eight consecutive times and the All-NBA First Team three times.

You can watch Pip’s interview below:

Jordan and Pippen were teammates in Chicago from 1987 to 1993 and again from 1994 to 1998, claiming six championships together.

A few months ago, Pippen made some other remarks that revealed his frustration with the legend.

Pippen told SiriusXM that the back injury he had to compete with against the Utah Jazz in 1998 was more serious than the illness Jordan had to deal with.

Pippen is a real hater these days.
