Tyler Herro ‘Snapped Back’ at his Dad Over Jimmy Butler Bullying Rumors

Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro has had one hell of a rookie season.  Not only has he broken out as a bonafide star, he also landed the girl. And possibly some more girls too.

But one thing that didn’t happen to Tyler was any sort of rookie hazing. Apparently Jimmy Butler can be hard on his teammates, and Herro’s father was not about to let Jimmy Buckets tear in to his his son.

He had heard rumors of Jimmy Butler being labeled as kind of a dick.

“As a parent, you hear stories about Jimmy and you just want to make sure he’s OK,” Tyler’s father recalled about that night in July 2019. “He snapped back at me, ‘Dad, you gotta stop texting me. Jimmy is a good dude.’”

Herro has saved his best work for the NBA’s Disney bubble.

“Just taking it all in, obviously,” Herro said, with the Heat trailing the Los Angeles Lakers 3-1 in the NBA Finals entering Friday’s Game 5. “It’s happening quick for all of us — series by series and game by game. Really just taking it all in as we’re going. I haven’t really gotten a chance to sit back and really reflect since we’re still here.”

No doubt Jimmy and Tyler are good friends at this point.

You certainly can’t blame his father for worrying about his son.
