Tom Brady Leaves The Door Open To Potentially Returning To NFL

Last week, Tom Brady dominated headlines everywhere when he announced that he was retiring from the NFL after 22 unforgettable season.

However, when speaking with Jim Gary on his Sirius XM podcast, Tom Brady couldn’t promise that he wouldn’t decide to come out of retirement at a later time.

“You know, I’m just gonna take things as they come,” Brady said. “I think that’s the best way to put it and I don’t think anything, you know, you never say never. At the same time I know that I’m very, I feel very good about my decision. I don’t know how I’ll feel six months from now, [inaudible] change, it most likely won’t. But I try to make the best possible decision I can in the moment, which I did this last week. And, again, I think it’s not looking to reverse course, I’m definitely not looking to do that. But in the same time I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are gonna be in life. Again, I loved playing. I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing.”

Tom Brady retired from the NFL after an unbelievable seven Super Bowl Championships, along with the unquestioned title as the “greatest of all-time”. But towards the end of his career, Brady showed that even at age-44, he has plenty of great football left in the tank.

The GOAT ultimately made the call to walk away while he was still on top of his game — citing his family, his health, and roster turnover on the Bucs.

But perhaps if the right opportunity comes along later, Tom Brady would pounce. In his words, “never say never.”
