The Tom Brady – Nick Foles Handshake Drama Lives On

Tom Brady and the Bucs won their fifth game of the season on Sunday, moving them to an AFC South-leading 5-2. Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look like a very strong team through seven weeks. A team that just added a very talented Antonio Brown. However, online all the buzz still surrounds the Brady/Foles handshake drama. This is thanks to Tampa’s win over the Raiders on Sunday. Tampa Bay’s Twitter account posted a picture of Tom Brady shaking Derek Carr’s hand after the game.

And here we go again. I’m sure you have all seen Tom Brady getting roasted by football fans everywhere for refusing to shake Nick Foles’ hand after the Bears beat the Bucs in Week 5. This was similar to Brady’s denying to give Foles respect after the Eagles beat Brady and the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Tom Brady tried to write off not shaking Foles’ hand after the Bucs Week 5 loss, claiming that it meant nothing. But fans have noticed Brady has been shaking plenty of hands this season, just not Nick Foles’.

The Bucs have had just a single winning season since 2010 and haven’t reached the playoffs since 2007. It looks like Tom Brady has turned the Bucs fortunes around. The Bucs are a pretty big story in the NFL right now with the new signing of Antonio Brown, who is eligible to return to the field in Week 9. However, the handshake drama lives on thanks to Derek Carr.

Meanwhile, Derek Carr claims that the Raiders are just getting started, despite just a 3-3 record through week 7 of the 2020 NFL season.
