Bettors Are Flocking To Fade One College Football Team Prior To The Season

Its officially college and NFL futures season.

With both set to make their return in the coming weeks, many bettors are wondering which wagers to set themselves up with heading into football season.

Sure enough, college bettors are quick to fade one program heading into the season: the Colorado Buffaloes.

Today, BetRivers revealed that the second largest bet coming in is on Colorado to finish the upcoming season with under 3.5 wins on the season.

The Colorado program has had some success in the PAC-12, but lately, they’ve really faltered.

Over the past 10 seasons, the Buffaloes have only qualified for a bowl game two times, and last season they finished 4-8 under second year head coach Karl Dorrell.

Despite the bettors fading his team heavily, Dorrell expressed confidence in his team’s ability to win some more games this season.

“We’re going to win this year,” Dorrell said via USA Today.“We’re ready to win… You’ve worked hard (and) trained to win this year.”

The head coach would go on to say that he believes the team is growing into the new system he implemented before last season.

“We did change our offense completely from scratch. It’s a new system. We’re excited about that process of how the players have taken that information,” Dorrell said in his opening statement to the media. “(The players) have digested it and performed it, continue to do that during a time in the off-season, spring, now finishing up the summer. It was a really good summer for them to kind of continue to develop and mature in terms of being in that system.”

Unfortunately for Karl Dorrell, it seems like a tall ask to see his Colorado squad turn the corner this season, and perhaps they’re in for another long season ahead in Boulder.
