Former NFL receiver Steve Smith absolutely destroyed Jets Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams after NY’s loss on Thursday Night Football. He formally accused coach Williams of being dirty as hell. Broncos players were heated at the end of TNF after Jets players hit Denver QB Brett Rypien late and hard. It was especially egregious because the game was all but over at 37-28. Broncos head coach Vic Fangio told his players to ignore postgame handshakes and go “straight to the f*cking locker room!”.

I thought postgame handshakes were supposed to be canceled? Apparently that was just spit, I mean jersey swapping. Jets Head Coach Adam Gase told media members he basically understood why Fangio rushed his players off the field without shaking hands. Saying,”I think he was just making sure we didn’t have any kind of melee; It was getting kind of heated”. Anyway, Steve Smith said that the whole scene went down because he believes Williams is a dirty coach who instructs his players to be dirty.
Steve Smith Sr., tell us how you really feel about Gregg Williams.

“If it smells like a pig, it looks like a pig and it’s oinkin’,” Smith said, “then guess what my friend, it’s a pig.” Steve Smith must have heard something that I didn’t. I don’t know about you but I sure didn’t hear Greg Williams oinking on Thursday Night Football. However, I could have missed it entirely. Steve Smith claims that he witnessed dirty play first hand when he was playing in the league. Claiming players on Williams’ team would hit him late per coaches instruction.
Listen, I hear what Steve Smith is saying. Dirty play definitely does happen. I think we can all agree on that much. However, I don’t think it is anything that coaches instruct players to do. Why would any coach instruct a player to make a dirty play when it could cost them the game? Sorry Steve Smith, but I just don’t buy it.
