Rumors Are Circulating that Deshaun Watson Wants to be Traded

Houston Texans superstar Deshaun Watson had a fantastic season despite his team having a terrible year. Watson is only of four quarterbacks in NFL history to finish a season with more than 4,500 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and less than 10 interceptions. The Texans finished with a 4-12 record. Now after another tough year, it appears DeShaun may want a change of scenery.

Rumors already are circulating, and we’ve already heard them from multiple different people, that Watson has quietly broached with teammates the possibility of requesting a trade. If that’s happening, it may just be a strategic effort to ensure his views are respected by ownership. Regardless, it raises the stakes and crosses a bridge and potentially sets the foundation for Watson eventually to decide that he’d like to continue his career elsewhere.

Twitter reacted to the rumor below:

Sounds like a lot of teams would love to have Watson.  It’s pretty incredible that he was that good this season and the Texans were that bad. Imagine how high his ceiling could be on the right team.
