Rasheed Wallace Names The Best Player in the NBA Right Now

Whenever the best player in the world subject comes up, people immediately say LeBron or maybe Durant. Some may even consider Harden or Steph Curry the best. Not former NBA player Rasheed Wallace. He has his own best player in the NBA. He’s a huge fan of Russell Westbrook.

Sheed explains:

“This man is right now. I gotta say, Russ is the best player in the NBA right now. There is no disrespect to KD, or Kyrie, or LeBron, but right now, no disrespect to Steph either. I know you scoring champion, but man what this kid is doing right now,” Wallace said. “Ain’t no disrespect to guys, Russell Westbrook right now is killing it man, if I am the pacer in the meetings, it will be how to stop Russ.”

Wallace was reacting to Westbrook’s season numbers against the Pacers, which are fairly incredible: 27.3 points, 20.0 assists, 18.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.

Westbrook also led the NBA in assists per game and averaged a triple-double for the fourth time in his career.

Is Russ the best all-around talent in the NBA, probably so.

But that doesn’t make him the best. Until he wins a Chip, it’s hard to call him the best of the best.
