If you’re a Carolina Panthers fan, good news, it’s only 7 years until you will become an overnight success!
Well, if you’re a Panthers fan, you’re probably hoping that’s a sick joke. But that is actually what came out of Panther’s coach Matt Rhule’s mouth today in his post-game press-conference.
Rhule stated that “I believe it’s 1000 percent working, I just know no one can see it and I apologize. As I tell our team all the time, it took Jay-Z seven years. He had to start his own agency to become an overnight sensation. It takes time.”

I am sure he is gaining some points in the dressing room dropping the Jay-Z reference and seeing that he see’s the process is working, but after trading a 2021 6th round pick, a 2022 2nd round pick, and a 202 4th round pick for Sam Darnold in the off-season, Panthers fans were hoping for more.
The Panthers have had a rough season loosing star RB Christian McCaffrey and then lost QB Sam Darnold for a couple weeks. The team went out and signed Cam Newton, but that idea has clearly failed.
Darnold returned to action this week and took over mid-way through the game after Newton was able to produce much on the field.
The Panthers moved to 5-10 after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday 32-6.
