The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for a number one receiver to lineup and catch passes this season. One player to watch out for is Steelers soon-to-be free agent wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. JuJu will reportedly be getting a lot of interest if the Steelers fail to lock him up prior to free agency. Many think that it would be good for Smith-Schuster and the Steelers to part ways this offseason. And with all the teams reportedly interested in acquiring the WR1, it looks like that’s exactly what is going to happen.

Smith-Schuster just wrapped up his fourth season with the Steelers, catching 97 passes for 831 yards and six touchdowns. His best season came in 2018 when he caught 111 passes for 1426 yards and seven touchdowns and was voted by his teammates as the team MVP. ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton says that Smith-Schuster is a very likely target for the Raiders.

The Raiders were led in receiving last season by Nelson Agholor. While he is a solid target, the Raiders are definitely in need of a true wide receiver one on their roster. JuJu is definitely a WR1 type of talent, however, he does have his issues. I think we all remember his infamous Tik-Tok dances on other teams’ logos. He also gave the Browns some serious bulletin board material going into the playoffs, which ultimately led to the Steelers’ demise.
Should the Raiders decide to court JuJu Smith-Schuster, they will likely be in competition with several other teams. JuJu was quoted saying he wants to get paid what he feels he deserves. He didn’t put a dollar amount on it, but he made it clear that money is definitely a factor. If the Steelers decide not to resign JuJu prior to the free agency there will definitely be sweepstakes for the wide receiver. And the Raiders want to be part of it if possible.
