Joe Montana Speaks On Who He Thinks The Greatest Quarterback Of All-Time Is

For a while there was a conversation on who the greatest NFL quarterback of all-time is–Joe Montana or Tom Brady. In recent years, Brady has solidified himself as the GOAT, but some old-timers still stick by their guns that Montana was better.

Bad news for the old-school crowd, even Joe Montana thinks Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all-time.

“Oh, I think Tom has taken his place on the top up there a long time ago,”  Montana said on ESPN’s First Take via TMZ. “So, he’s had a tremendous career, he’s fun to watch.”

Montana went on to say that he’s aware of the debate between himself and Brady, but doesn’t really think it’s warranted.

“But if you look at what Tom’s been able to accomplish in his time that he’s played, I think it puts him definitely up there in the top of the list.”

It’s incredibly hard to argue that Joe Montana had a better career than Tom Brady. The current Bucs QB has seven Super Bowl wins and three MVP awards. Montana has four Super Bowls and two MVPs. Not only that, but really any stat you look at would favor Tom Brady over Joe Montana.

Joe Montana was clearly right that Brady is more accomplished than himself. He has nothing to hang his head about, though.
