Rudy Gobert Reflects On His Infamous COVID Diagnosis As We Near The One Year Anniversary

The Utah Jazz are rolling right now, and it has a lot to do with how Rudy Gobert is playing.

It’s pretty crazy to think of how far the Jazz have come considering where they were last year at around this time. If you flash back to last March, Gobert was the guy who openly mocked the COVID-19 pandemic by touching every microphone during his post game presser.

On March 11th, Rudy Gobert was the first player in any American major sport to test positive for the coronavirus. Henceforth, the entire sports world was shook, and we were stuck without the games we loved for a long time.

Nearly a year later, we’re still suffering from life during a pandemic.

Rudy Gobert spoke about his mindset after what transpired last season.

“When you go through some tough times. I think those tough times make you grow,” Gobert said on Monday.

The Utah Jazz are currently 27-7, 3.5 games ahead of the Lakers in first place in the Western Conference. Gobert and Mitchell are the catalysts for a Jazz team that has gone from a solid squad to a championship contender.
