A-Rod needs a new partner.
After four seasons on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, play-by-play man Matt Vasgersian is leaving, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
“Play-by-player Matt Vasgersian informed ESPN executives that he is leaving his position on “Sunday Night Baseball,” The Post has learned.
After four years teamed with Alex Rodriguez, Vasgersian wants to focus on new, pending deals with MLB Network, and potentially expand his work on Angels’ regional telecasts.”

As far as who will replace Vasgersian, the potential replacements for Vasgersian include Boog Sciambi, Karl Ravech, Jason Benetti, Michael Kay, Ryan Ruocco and Dave Flemming.
Rodriguez’s contract is reportedly up, according to Marchand, but ESPN wants Rodriguez to continue to be part of the “Sunday Night Baseball” booth.
