Friend of J-Lo Reveals How Long She’s Been Thinking About Ending A-Rod Relationship

Looks like this temporary breakup didn’t happen overnight. The status of the power couple’s relationship has remained in the headlines since the news broke they were calling it quits. The report suggested the pair had broken up late last week and decided to end their engagement. Then it was a quick 180, as the couple released a statement and clarified that they are actually still together. Now, an insider is revealing some new information.

“She’s been contemplating breaking up with Alex for six months,” a source, identified as a “Lopez friend” told People. “The past few days were upsetting and stressful. She and Alex have a lot of issues they hope they can work through, but they both seem willing to do whatever it takes to stay together.”

“Alex flew to the Dominican Republic, and Jennifer was excited to see him in person,” the source added. JLo has been filming in the country. “They want to spend time in person to figure out their life together.”
