Internet Reacts to Deshaun Watson Landing Biggest Deal Ever in Trade to Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are expected to trade for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday.

Rapoport and Pelissero added that trade compensation has yet to be finalized, but Watson has made the decision to waive his no-trade clause to go to Cleveland after also meeting with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers this week.

Watson will receive a five-year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract from the Browns, per Rapoport.

The news of Watson’s expected trade comes two days after it was reported that the Browns had been the first team eliminated from a potential deal.
