Ezekiel Elliott Plus Multiple Cowboys And Texans Have Tested Positive For Coronavirus

^I presume that thumbnail is of Ezekiel Elliott gobbling up spoonfuls of COVID-19. Here’s the report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

It’s not a great sign for the NFL training camps and seasons left to come that both of Texas’ teams are apparently overflowing with Coronavirus. The positive tests coincide with massive surges in American states that opened and allowed maskless indoor activities earlier than expected. Texas set its all-time high in new COVID-19 cases just five days ago:

Arizona has also set state highs within the last week while Florida doubled their previous high with 2,581 new cases on June 13. It may not bode well for these potential sports hubs with Florida having hosted a NASCAR race with socially distanced fans just yesterday as they gear up for the hopeful NBA relaunch in July.

Either way, it’s good to see that Ezekiel Elliott reportedly feels good despite contracting the virus. He previously made headlines alongside Dak Prescott for throwing a party during the early COVID-19 spread and, as a young and wealthy man who hasn’t shown the best judgment in the past, his ticket was probably overdue for catching the virus. Given Zeke’s generally reckless approach, I’m honestly shocked this famous GIF wasn’t just a giant bowl of bats in cereal milk:

Here’s hoping the states and players figure things out and get all of this virus catching out of the way now. We’re dangerously close to when training camps normally begin and this could be a very bad sign of what can come for the NFL with COVID-19 guidelines being relaxed around the country.
